Aureus East sits on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, about six kilometres north of Port Dufferin in the historic Dufferin gold district. The deposit is a Meguma-terrane saddle-reef system: more than eighteen stacked quartz reefs traced along over three kilometres of strike and to roughly four hundred metres below surface. The property has already been a mine. It poured first gold in 2014 and was placed on care and maintenance the following year, leaving workings and site infrastructure in place. Aurelius Minerals holds the property and is working to define a resource across the full reef stack.
